Resembling a steam locomotive engine, this Vintage Train Cookie Jar is just too cute. Anthropomorphic molded face possesses that old fashioned charm. Very clever, the smoke from the smoke stack functions as the handle on the lid. Hand painted. Circa 1950’s. Incised “California SC” on the bottom. Manufacturer believed to be Sierra Vista. A wonderful place to store your cookies. This Vintage Train Cookie Jar would make a nice addition to your collection or a touch of whimsy to your kitchen decor.
Measures approx. 9″ tall. 10″ long. 7″ wide.
Condition: Very Good, no box. Two small chips on inside rim of base, not visible with lid on. One small chip on inside of lid, not visible with lid on. One very tiny fleabite/chip on outside of lid rim, hardly noticeable. Some red cold paint on smoke stack missing. Crazing which would be expected with a piece this age. Please review all pictures carefully. You should expect wear with these second hand / vintage items to be commensurate with their age.
