This Vintage Cow Jumped Over the Moon Cookie Jar depicts the characters from the classic nursery rhyme. Also known as Hey Diddle Diddle cookie jar. Anthropomorphic smiling moon base. The lid features the cow jumping over the yellow moon as the handle. Raised figures of a dish with a spoon and a cat with a fiddle along the base. Circa 1940’s/1950’s. Manufactured by Robinson Ramsbottom Pottery. Marked on bottom “RRP Co. Roseville Ohio No. 317”. This rare Vintage Cow Jumped Over the Moon Cookie Jar would be the gem of your collection.
Measures approx. 10½” tall
Condition: Very good for nearly 70/80 years old! Still wonderful paint. Tiny production flaws which are usual. Hairline crack on top back of base, chip on one of cow’s ears. Small chip on underside of lid rim, might be from production. Though it was not noticed, crazing should be expected with a piece this age. Please review all pictures carefully. These are second hand / vintage items so wear should be expected to be commensurate with their age.
